Winfield Isle of Lights Set-Up Day
Volunteers Needed to
Set Up Winfield Isle of Lights
The Winfield Isle of Lights board is preparing
for the 32nd year of lighting up Winfield’s beautiful Island Park over the holidays. The display is set to open on Sunday, November 17th
and stay open nightly from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Admission is free but donations are greatly appreciated. It will remain open nightly until Dec. 30,
2023.
Volunteers are needed to help set up displays
on Tuesday, November 12th. Two shifts are available for sign-up – 8:00 am to Noon and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Lunch vouchers will be provided.
Volunteering is easy and
no experience is necessary. New volunteers will be paired with
experienced volunteers. A few basic tools are helpful, but not
necessary: needle nose pliers, an
adjustable wrench, open end or ratchet wrench (1/2 in & 9/16 in), a hammer
or mallet & work gloves. Dress for
the weather, layers works best as the day
usually warms up a bit.
Those who wish to volunteer should go to the
Soroptimist Pavilion in Island Park at the beginning of your shift to be placed
with a Crew Chief. If you have questions, you may contact Megan Beeson at
620.221.2420.
