Year Round Full-time position. Responsibilities include customer interaction and problem solving, planting and maintaining landscaped spaces around our 5 acre destination nursery. Designing and creating events, classes, creations for retail sales and new product niches. Product research and purchasing, inventory management and sales experience. Knowledge of plants is desired, but not required. Starting Pay ranges from $14.00 - $18.00 per hour depending on experience and availability. Health insurance is not currently provided but we do offer a matching individual retirement program, paid time off and other benefits. Requirements
Persons should be detail oriented, exceptionally organized and able to multi task with delegation of tasks to employees, customer inquiries and management of all retail operations. Application should be familiar with marketing principles and organize, promote and manage public events at our nursery including classes and tours. Person should be comfortable to learning a Point of Sale system and computer literate with moderate experience in using Excel, Word, QuickBooks, Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Point of Sale processes, email and social media platforms including Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram. Persons should be able to work in an outdoor environment and lift up to 50 lbs. Have an outgoing personality, enjoy caring for plants and place extreme value in customer needs and satisfaction. Applicants should possess a high-school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of marketing and or retail experience.
