Downtown Trick-or-Treat

Downtown Trick-or-Treat
The Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce is again organizing a downtown trick-or-treat event for young children.  The event will be on Friday, October 30 from 4-6 pm, as most downtown businesses are not open on Saturdays.  This year’s event will have extra safety precautions in place due to COVID-19.
Participating businesses are asked to have a designated employee wearing a mask and gloves handing out candy and goodies to trick-or-treaters during the event.  In addition, businesses are encouraged to hand out candy outside, rather than encouraging groups of kids to come inside their store.   Participating businesses will be identified by an orange jack-o-lantern sign on their storefront.  Businesses have been informed of the Teal Pumpkin Movement. If your child has a food allergy, look for businesses with a teal-colored pumpkin out front or a sign in the window.  All children must be masked and accompanied by an adult.  As this event has always been geared towards younger children, it is open to children age 12 and under.
A list of participating businesses will be provided in a future press release as well as on the Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page.

When:
Friday, October 30, 2020 4:00 PM thru 06:00 PM
