newspaper features Mary Jarvis as Martha, Marsha Granberry as Mary, Crystal
Layton as Nora, Susan Andrews as Connie, Kathy Baker as Alice, Roxy Callison as
Ann, Alexis Miers as Lil, Miranda Nation Hofmeister as Betsy, and Carter
Humphreys as Robert Foster.
P.J. Barry’s The Octette
Bridge Club is a comedy about American family life in changing times. On
alternate Friday evenings, eight sisters meet to play bridge as they celebrate
the family and gossip. The first act takes place in 1934; the second ten years
later during a Halloween bridge party where each acts out her costume’s
persona.
“Today we certainly live
in changing times,” says Moon, “but really we always do. The families we
inherit or build are important, but so are individual growth and development.
Unfortunately, it is sometimes difficult to grow and change individually within
our family and sibling relationships as we struggle to become the people we
need to become. Sometimes we just have to laugh at the conflicts in which we
find ourselves. That’s The Octette Bridge Club.”
Further information about
ticket sales will be released as it becomes available.
