The Small Business Development Center at Wichita State University is excited to invite you to several upcoming in-person events!

Business Resiliency Bootcamp

Are you a business owner or manager who wants to learn about how to make your business more successful, sustainable, and profitable? Our local Business Resiliency Bootcamp will feature three workshops to help existing businesses (and aspiring business owners) have the skills, knowledge, and resources to enable them to be resilient and adaptable during challenging times. Join us to learn about:

  • Strategies for Improving Financial Management
  • Thrifty Marketing
  • Using AI Tools to Support Business Management

March Coffee and Connections – The Art of Working with Designers & Creatives

Are you a small business leader looking to elevate your brand identity with a new logo, website design, or engaging marketing materials but just don’t have time or that artistic spark? Maybe you’re unsure of the process of hiring or working with creatives. Join us for our March Coffee & Connections to learn from other small business leaders and meet talented graphic and web designers, photographers, videographers and so many more. We invite independent creative professionals passionate about helping small businesses grow and thrive to attend and share your expertise!  

No presentation. Just conversations.

Time: 8:00 am – 9:00 am

Cost: $5.00 Professional Fee; No cost for Small Business Leaders

Location: WSU Metroplex

The Whole Woman – Health & Wellness Mixer

This special Women’s History Month event is specifically for women with businesses focused on health and wellness, including but not limited to medicine, mental health, nutrition, and fitness. Join us to connect with other like-minded entrepreneurs, learn about local products and services, build your resource and referral networks and explore collaboration opportunities.

As part of the National Small Business Week, SCORE Wichita and Kansas SBDC at WSU are co-hosting a growth and sustainability conference on May 2, 2024. This will be followed by a small business pop-up market. Watch for more information coming soon.
