Winfield Public Library to Host Medication Safety
Training
Are you taking your
medications seriously? Learn about safe
use, safe storage, and safe disposal of medications through a free one-hour
training hosted by Winfield Public Library on Wednesday, March 30 at 1:30
pm. Originally developed by the American
Association of Poison Control Centers for individuals 60 years of age and
older, this presentation will be led by DCCCA in partnership with the Kansas
Department of Aging and Disability Services.
“It is important for everyone
to know what questions to ask their physicians, know warning signs of a
potential overdose, plus know what to do and who to call,” says Dena Kemp, who
will facilitate the training.
The training will be offered
as a hybrid event, giving community members the option to attend in-person at
the WPL Community Room or via Zoom. Participants should register through the events calendar at wpl.org or
by calling 620-221-4470. A Zoom link
will be sent by email the day of the event.
