Tails & Tales
Partners the Library and Humane Society
From Sat, July 17th
through Sat, July 31st, the Winfield Public Library is partnering with the Cowley County Humane Society to collect donations from the Humane Society’s wish list. People who wish to donate Dawn dish soap, wet cat or dog food, paper towels, clean blankets, and any other item from the wish list can drop items off at WPL the last two weeks in July. The items will be passed on to the Humane Society to help them care for animals in need. The shelter is almost full and needs supplies.
“Working with the Cowley County Humane Society is a perfect partnership during our summer Tails & Tales theme,” says WPL Director Patty Wagner who has three rescue dogs. During this time, WPL’s front book display will feature pictures of some of the animals up for adoption including dogs Darla, Fella, and Sasha May and cats Aurora, Phil, and Kronk.
Wish list items include clean body towels, canned cat or dog food, bleach, post-it notes, toilet paper, 8.5x11 copy paper, creamy peanut butter, paper rolls (from paper towels, toilet paper), latex disposable gloves, Windex, bleach, and more. For a complete listing, visit the Cowley County Humane Society’s website. The library’s website (wpl.org) will also have a link to the wish list. After July 31st,
these items will still be in need and can be dropped off at the Humane
Society.
