Book Club for Business Professionals begins
January 16
Cowley First and the Winfield Public Library
are excited to announce a new opportunity for business professionals in Cowley
County.
Local business leaders, managers and HR
professionals are invited to participate in a unique new book club, designed to
meet the demand for continuous professional growth and development.
“We’re thrilled to launch this book club
tailored specifically for professionals,” says Jessica Falk, Economic
Development Coordinator. “Leadership
plays a pivotal role in the success of any business or organization, and that
requires opportunities to discuss new trends, share experiences and learn from
the insights of others.”
The first book selected for discussion is When
Everyone Leads: The Toughest Challenges
Get Seen and Solved, the latest book from the Kansas Leadership
Center. Co-authors Ed O’Malley and Julia
Fabris McBride present a new approach to engaging in the act of leadership.
In their bestselling book, O’Malley and
Fabris McBride present a revolutionary approach to leadership. Neither position
nor authority, it’s an activity open to anyone who can see and seize their
moments to lead and engage differently. In a culture where everyone leads,
individuals, organizations and communities make more progress on what matters
most. O’Malley and Fabris McBride have
led thousands of people to engage in the act of leadership through programs at
the Kansas Leadership Center. They have seen remarkable results with people
from all walks of life.
The group’s first meeting will be held at
noon on Tuesday, January 16 in the Winfield Public Library Community Room, 605
College Street. Copies of When
Everyone Leads: The Toughest Challenges
Get Seen and Solved will be available to check out at that time.
