We’re looking for partnerships, not sponsorships.

Boneshaker Rides LLC hosts multiple cycling events in Cowley County throughout the year. While we might be most [in]famous for Elrod’s Cirque, we also host a multitude of free group rides throughout the year. These smaller group rides feature unique areas within our communities throughout the county. New in 2022 we are bringing back a classic, the Tour de Lizard at Camp Horizon in November.

Cowley County is centrally located within the premier midwestern gravel scene and also home to one of the best mountain bike trails in the state at Camp Horizon. Boneshaker Rides founder Bobby Smith has been organizing events throughout the area since 2001. It’s safe to say that no one understands the experiences and history that make Cowley County special like Bobby. With every group ride and event Bobby and our team take particular care to feature the scenery, roads, businesses and bridges that make our community special.

Our number one goal is to create an enthusiastic and warm environment to everyone attending our events. We go above and beyond to create an amazing experience so that all cyclist and their families want to add our events to their annual calendar and visit our towns, businesses, gravel roads and trails throughout the year. We work closely with local businesses to keep as much economic impact within our community as possible. Our t-shirts, awards, swag bags and food and beverages are all locally sourced. We support kids with a donation to our local 4H club. We also donate 10% of our proceeds to our local trail building club.

Participants in our events number in the several hundred throughout the year. Cyclist and their families travel to Cowley County from across our region and the nation to attend our larger events. Participant demographics are overwhelmingly over the age of 25, evenly split between genders and span a wide range of cycling experience.
