Our wish was GRANTED

2022 has a lot in store for the Winfield Arts & Humanities Council. While we were focusing on innovative ideas to bring us financial stability for this coming year, the National Endowment for the Arts decided to award us with money through the American Rescue Plan. WAHC was one in five organizations within Kansas, that had applied for this national grant and won; we are so excited to be able to use the extra funding to provide more workshops, community art projects and cover some of our personnel costs. We are also looking for ways to utilize this new funding for the arts to be more predominate in upcoming, local events such as Walnut Valley Festival's 50th Anniversary and Winfield's 150th Birthday.

The Winfield Arts & Humanities Council received a lot of support throughout the course of the pandemic, and even though this grant will definitely aid in our recovery, we must remind you, this is just a start. We will always rely on the community to give us our mission, but it takes the generosity and love of our members to give us hope in order to keep that mission alive. Thank you all for everything you do.
