Joyce Brown
Johnson will present a program entitled, “Growing up in Cowley County” on
Saturday, November 26, at 2:00 at the Cowley County Historical Society Museum,
1011 Mansfield, Winfield.
Joyce and her
family grew up in Winfield and Arkansas City. She has many wonderful memories, pictures, and stories that she will
share that afternoon. Joining her in
sharing memories will be her siblings, Waldon “Don” Brown and Walton “Ron”
Brown and Louis “Joe” Schooler. Joyce
has spent many years in other cities but cherishes the memories she made in
Cowley County!
This special
program will offer a glimpse into what it was like to grow up in each of these
cities in Winfield. The program is free
and open to the public.
