MARQUEE TO HOLD THE TALKING
COLLECTIONS SHOWCASE AS PART OF THE FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK
The Marquee Performing Arts Center is looking forward to
the next installment in the First Friday Art Walk which will be held on
September 2nd, 2022 from 5-7 pm in the Marquee Performing Arts Center Lobby at
1007 Main Street in Winfield. This month the Marquee will be hosting the
Talking Collections Showcase.
“Every collection isn’t just about the items themselves but
the stories that go with the collections. It’s about how you found them and
what they mean to you. Each item has a story but it is up to you to tell that
story since they can’t speak for themselves” says Chance Alquest, member of the
Marquee board and programming committee.
The collections being shown include:
Music CD and MP3 collection by Chance
Alquest.
3D printed miniatures by Daniel
Holland.
Dr. Pepper memorabilia by Arden and
Danny Mouangdy.
International doll collection by Cheri
Nichols.
In addition, members of the community are encouraged to
send pictures of their unique collections they are passionate about to the
Marquee Performing Arts Facebook page (www.facebook.com/MarqueePAC). Pictures
submitted will be shown at the Art Walk.
The First Friday Art Walk takes place every First Friday at
the Marquee Lobby. Admission is free and Candy, Popcorn, and Soda will be
available for a donation. For more information about the Marquee please visit
