Moundbuilder Check-In Begins

July 20, 2022 — Moundbuilder Check-In begins on Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 2
and 3, as incoming first-year students will move into the residence halls at
Southwestern College. Builder Camp and Builder Fest will kick
off the 2022-2023 school year.
Builder Camp
(Aug. 3-6) takes first-year students on and off campus for a three-day
orientation to college life, and Builder Fest (Aug. 7-19) is an on-campus
experience introducing new students to the many aspects of Southwestern
College.
New
undergraduate students will be the first on campus. Registration will be from
at 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Aug. 2 and 3 followed by students moving into residence
halls. A family lunch will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Roy L. Smith
Student Center cafeteria and a parent session will be held from 4:30-5:30 p.m.,
in the Deets Library both days.
Builder Camp
will be held on campus as well as at Sky Ranch in Cave Springs, Okla.
Students will depart campus at 6 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 3, and return
on Aug. 6. On Sunday, Aug. 7, the freshmen will participate in the annual
Freshman Workday event sponsored by the Southwestern College Leadership
program.
Fall
student-athletes (including transfers) will move in Saturday, Aug. 6. All
other transfer and returning students will move in Friday, Aug. 14.

Monday, Aug. 15, classes begin for students.

Tuesday, Aug. 16, Rock painting party from 6 to 8 p.m. on the
Wallingford lawn.

Thursday, Aug. 18, annual Moundbuilding Ceremony at 7 p.m., at Cole
Mound Plaza at the bottom of the 77 Steps.

Friday, Aug. 19, Opening Convocation at 11 a.m. in Richardson
Auditorium.
Friends of
Southwestern College are invited to attend the Moundbuilding Ceremony and
Opening Convocation.
