The Winfield Chamber’s BEST Committee is again organizing a Downtown Trick-or-Treat event. Businesses are invited to have candy or prizes to give out to kids on Friday, October 29th. Your business can also set out a teal pumpkin or a teal pumpkin movement sign to indicate that you have allergy-safe candy or non-food items. To read more about the teal pumpkin movement, go to www.foodallergy.org.
The chamber is again suggesting that businesses to set up in front of your place of business to hand out candy in order to eliminate children grouping up at each store entrance. This seems to help the flow of children run smoothly.
The event would be advertised to the public as:
Trick or Treating at Participating Businesses
from 4-6 PM on Friday, October 29th
All children must be accompanied by an adult
The chamber would help designate which businesses are participating by providing you with a jack o' lantern sign to put in your window.
If you are interested in participating, we need to know by
Friday, October 15.
