Power of the Purse aims to make a difference in the lives of women and children in the community by encouraging community within the circle and with those they serve, educating and increasing awareness of local need, as well as building a network to catalyze positive change

Power of the Purse (POP) has given $248,775 in grants and scholarships since the giving circle was established in 2007.  POP operates by combining membership contributions to form a fund from which grants are awarded.  In 2020, organizations receiving grant funding included Angels in the Attic, Ark City Public Library, Community Health Center, Cowley Cares Coalition, Eagle Nest, Inc., Elevate Cowley County, Soroptimist International of Arkansas City, and Wichita Family Crisis Center (Cowley County) of Winfield.
