Southwestern College Freshman Work Day is Sunday, August 8
Winfield, Kan., April 7, 2021 — The annual Southwestern College Freshman
Work Day will return on Sunday, Aug. 8.
Due to Covid-19, Freshman Work Day in 2020 looked a little different.
Rather than the incoming freshman class going out into the community, the SC
Leadership Team developed a work day around campus.
Freshman Work Day has been a tradition at Southwestern College for three
decades. The day introduces incoming students to Winfield through service
learning.
Leadership Southwestern invites homeowners, non-profits, and
organizations in need of painting, scraping, yardwork, cleaning, and more to
apply online at www.sckans.edu/freshmanworkday.
Southwestern College sponsors the work day and the Leadership team at SC
organizes and plans the service experience.
