Vermillion Inc. Visits Cowley College for Insightful Collaboration

Arkansas City, KS — [October 18th, 2024] — Cowley College recently welcomed representatives from Vermillion Inc., a leader in custom-made cables and shielding for military and aerospace applications. The visit aimed to explore potential collaboration opportunities. It provided a platform for knowledge exchange in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).

During the visit, the Vermillion team engaged with Cowley College’s new NDT instructor, Samy Perez, who has over a decade of experience in the industry, including work on significant projects for Shell and NASA. Perez shared insights on inspecting nickel-plated parts, highlighting best practices and the importance of maintaining high-quality standards.

The discussions included potential training programs for Vermillion's inspectors and avenues for job placement opportunities for Cowley graduates. This collaboration has the potential to bridge the gap between education and industry, ensuring that the next generation of inspectors is well-prepared to uphold the highest standards in their field.

Established in 1965 by Ross Vermillion, the company has a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality harness assemblies that meet various Military Specifications (MIL Spec) requirements for the Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as for General Aviation and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) applications. Vermillion is fully integrated and certified in quality management systems (ISO 9001:2015 + AS9100D), reflecting its commitment to quality. Cowley College is excited about the potential for future partnerships with Vermillion Inc. It looks forward to further enhancing the educational experience for its students while fostering strong ties with industry leaders.
