Legacy’s “Great
Give” offers $100,000 in matching funds
Cowley County, KS, August 1, 2024: Legacy
Regional Community Foundation’s “Great Give” holds an incredible opportunity
for area nonprofit organizations and the donors that care about them. Large
and small gifts combine for a significant impact when pooled at Legacy Regional
Community Foundation and matched by generous gifts from the Patterson Family
Foundation and Warrender Trust. Legacy’s “Great Give” is a unique
opportunity to grow nonprofit endowments exponentially so that organizations
can enrich people and programs for even greater impact for years to come while
not taking away from desperately needed operating funds.
Currently
fundraising is a challenge for many nonprofit organizations. A
permanent endowment fund can be an important tool in creating that critical
safety net and a reliable source of income for nonprofit organizations.
Your
participation in Legacy’s “Great Give” can be a real boost for your favorite
nonprofit both now and in the future. When you choose to give to an
eligible nonprofit organization during Legacy’s “Great Give,” that gift
will be matched up to a total of $4,545 per organization provided by the
Patterson Family Foundation and Warrender Trust and additional funds may also
be awarded. Your gift will help to grow their endowment and the match
will be distributed now for the nonprofit organizations’ operating needs.
Together the
Patterson Family Foundation and Warrender Trust have offered up to $100,000 in
matching funds. The Patterson Family Foundation is a family-led
foundation established in 2007 by Neal and Jeanne Patterson. Rural
communities hold a special place in the hearts of the Patterson Family
Foundation as they believe people living in rural places need improved access
to health care, education and economic opportunity. In addition to
the Robert R. Warrender Scholarships, the Robert Warrender Revocable Trust
(RWRT), under the guidance of Trustee Wayne Hamilton, has provided funding for
matching grant opportunities and supported additional charitable projects
throughout Cowley County and the surrounding area including Arkansas City
Habitat for Humanity, Cowley College and SCK Health.
Donations
eligible for the match will be accepted at Legacy, 1216 Main in Winfield,
through the post at PO Box 713, Winfield, KS 67156 or online at www.legacyregionalfoundation.org anytime between August 1
and August 30 at 5:00 p.m. Because donations will be accepted both

our regional nonprofits in an easy, safe and fun way through Legacy’s online
