Battle of the Banks Food Drive
Sheila’s Giving Closet and Pantry is excited to partner with
several local banks in doing a “Battle of the Banks Food Drive” throughout the
month of March! The following banks have generously agreed to participate:
Citizen’s Bank of Kansas, Community National Bank, Union State Bank on Pike,
Union State Bank on Main, Bank of the West, and the Panhandle Federal Credit
Union. The bank location that tallies up the most food items will be presented
with a “Bank of the Year” plaque. Our hope is to partner with our local banks
annually for some fun, friendly competition.
So far this month, our food pantry has been able to serve 27
families (98 individuals)! We look forward to growth throughout this year and
continuing to be able to bless our community.
We continue to be open the 2nd and 4th
Tuesday’s of each month from 10:00-2:00pm, and by appointment, for both our
clothing ministry and food pantry services. Donations can be made every Tuesday
between 10:00-2:00; it is recommended to call first as occasionally we may not
be available. You can also contact Nichole for an appointment to drop off
donations as well.
