A
Campaign to Increase COVID-19 Vaccinations in Cowley County in Advance of the
Walnut
Valley Festival
The organizers of the Walnut Valley Festival believe
strongly that the more people who choose to get one of the available vaccines for
COVID-19, the better our chances are to have a safe and successful festival
this September. This is true for those patrons who journey from afar, but
doubly important for those who live in the immediate area, where most of our
crowd originates.
We therefore intend to offer a number of festival-related
incentives to those who take one of the vaccines. The City-Cowley County Health
Department will offer a vaccine clinic on the same day that we have our
Pre-Lineup on August 28. Pre-Lineup is the first step of what eventually
becomes Land Rush, the competition to claim prime real estate in the campgrounds.
The on-site vaccination event will be open to anyone, AND those who have
already vaccinated will be eligible to enter the raffle as well, by filling out
a simple entry form. All must show proof of vaccination in order to claim their
prize.
Walnut
Valley Festival will offer the following, to be raffled off in various
combinations, following the vaccination clinic on August 28:
Two Full Festival Passes to the 49th

cart for two people, and a 2022 Annual Lake Permit.
We invite
Winfield and Cowley County merchants and businesses to join us in offering
incentives for this event. Whether it be a gift certificate or a special prize,
you can be assured your business will be listed as a sponsor of the event, we
will make use of social media as well as our hometown newspaper to spread the
word. and festival-goers will certainly
