Rising Star Award presented to Elizabeth Espino

The Young Professionals of Cowley County periodically recognizes outstanding young professionals with the Rising Star Award. Nominees should be highly active in the community, committed to making a difference, and 21-40 years of age. Elizabeth Espino of the K-State Research and Extension Council of Cowley County received this award on December 12.
Elizabeth is a graduate of Kansas State University in agronomy. She worked for the college as a research assistant before taking on the role this summer as the Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent at the K-State Research and Extension Council of Cowley County located in Winfield. Her role involves using research-based information to better the lives of Kansans. She has demonstrated great leadership and integrity in the pursuit of her career.
