Well, Governor Kelly has ordered all of the state's K-12 schools to close for the remainder of the school year. According to The Edge Performing Arts Centre policy, we will also close for the duration of USD465's closing.
We're aware that times are crazy right now for all of us and we're all in untested waters just trying to figure out what the next best step is.
We are testing a program/app called Zoom that would allow any child that wants to attend a dance class to contact the studio, request and invite and attend any online, virtual dance class for FREE!
We thought long and hard about how we could help the youth of our community through the difficult times ahead and the long days without school, extracurricular activities or sports available to them. We decided out best contribution to our community would be to provide free virtual dance classes to any child, anywhere that would like to attend. Right now, parents need all the help they can get to entertain and educate their children that are cooped up at home. We understand the financial strain that’s been suddenly thrust upon all of us and wanted to offer an option for all children at no cost to parents.
Please be patient as we figure out the best way to help you and your dancers though the current obstacles, we're all facing together! We will post a schedule and instructions for an invite to classes as soon as all the details are finalized!
