Innovative Partnerships and Re-Imagined Spaces Projects
KCAIC will require initial applications for potential Innovative Partnerships and Re-Imagined Spaces
projects. Initial applications are designed to give KCAIC the overall concept
and general scope of a potential project that may still be in an early stage of
development to be sure an applicant is pursing the proper application category.
Deadlines:
Initial applications for Innovative Partnerships and Re-Imagined
Spaces projects will be reviewed starting in early February. Following staff
review, projects will be either given access to the full application or
directed to apply in a different category.
Full applications in all categories will be due Monday, March
13, 2023 for projects starting after July 1, 2023.

Please Note: In the past, KCAIC accepted a second
round of applications in the fall. Due to an ongoing increase in funding
requests, we do not anticipate holding a second grant round for this fiscal
year. Applicants may submit numerous grant applications in this round.
Match requirements will temporarily consist of the
following:
In-kind or
applicable general operating costs can count up to 75% of total match
Cash
expenses must account for at least 25% of the required match, and within that
25%, applicable general operating costs may count for 12.5% and the remaining
12.5% must be from cash expenses.
Rural
Exemption for organizations/projects in communities of 15,000 population or
less: 100% in-kind for the initial $7,500. 50% in-kind for requests amounts
above $7,500 (applicable to Reimagined Spaces and Innovative Partnerships only)
Organizational
Mentorship remains at 100% in-kind for all applicants. Applicants interested in
this category should speak with a Field Representative for access to the
application materials.
Multiple Award Policy:
Organizations are able to submit more than one grant application
for this round. Within a given fiscal year, as well as any time a grant is
active, an organization may not:
receive
multiple awards for the same project;
have
awards in any one sub category exceeding the maximum request in
that subcategory;
have
total awards in all categories exceeding the maximum request in
the largest subcategory ($20,000)
