"Quilt Turning" program by CCHSM
Enjoy an elegant tea and “Quilt Turning” program. This will be a wonderful way to share in the history of Cowley County as amazing “behind the scenes” stories are shared by folks portraying the creators of the quilts. As each story is shared another quilt will appear on the “historic bed” and a new story will be shared. The quilt show will feature beautiful quilts from Cowley County. Tickets: $20. 1st Annual Cowley County PRIDE Event
This year is the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, the start of the gay rights movement. What better year then to have Cowley County's first PRIDE event!? I am so happy to bring PRIDE to Winfield and surrounding areas. This is something beyond my wildest dreams and something I wish we had when I was growing up. We will have drag performances, Karaoke, a dance party, food vendors, as well as various booths representing different LGBT organizations and other businesses.
