WCT presents "I Only Have Fangs for You"

Vampire Count Fritz Fangful and his devoted assistant, Igor, have lived comfortably in the cellar of Rattrap Manor awaiting the perfect beauty whose blood will enable Fangful to live forever. When winsome Greta Belleneck arrives at the manor Aunt Chatterbit warns her to leave the crumbling old building at once! But Greta decides the mansion will make a perfect hotel. Fangful realizes that the lovely Greta is the girl of his dreams. Greta, meanwhile, falls good, line, and pluger for Able Abe, the handsome handy-man she's hired to help refurbish Rattrap Manor. Count Fangful finds it harder to get rid of Able Abe than a bad leak. Eventually, he tricks Abe into thinking Mondgolian sheepherders have absconded with Greta. Gardenaires Annual Plant Sale

Gardenaires Annual Plant Sale
Presently, all Gardenaires are thinning and  potting perennials and sifting through all things garden for our “2019 Plant Sale on May 4th”.   The location is east of Winfield in Glacken Acres, 12 Renfrew Road, from 7:00AM to Noon.   Gardenaires use these funds to spruce up our community and help people to enjoy and learn about flowers, birds, grasses, and the beauty of nature around Winfield Community.

Baked Items & drawing:   Along with the many plants and gardening items, there will be home-baked goods and a drawing for a framed floral picture again this year (Ink and watercolor drawing by Samantha Neu, granddaughter of member Nancy Horst).   Look for printed notecards, bird houses, and baskets and garden books.

This spring the Gardenaires have provided funds and volunteered time to several beautification projects at Island Park: funding for electrification of a new water feature at the Butterfly Mound, planting of annuals with Irving Elementary kindergarten and fifth graders at the Peace Garden and planting flowers in the planters at the new Rotary “Island Park Performance Venue”.  Other projects supported financially are the Bartlett Arboretum, flowers for Main Street Revitalization projects and landscaping for the Winfield Area Habitat for Humanity 2018 home.  Gardenaires...  More >>
